Seso, age 17
Since Seso was three years old, she could not open her mouth. She had trismus; a spasm of the jaw muscles, causing her mouth to remain tightly closed.
Our vision is a world where no one lives a disadvantaged life because of a facial disfigurement. By supporting us you are not only contributing towards this vision but turning it into action.
We work in Ethiopia and for the 85% living in rural poverty we are a bridge to professional medical care. Year round we provide access to cleft surgeries, predominantly for children, who would be otherwise denied for financial constrictions or simply by not being aware the surgery was available. We also run an annual mission to provide surgery for complex cases of facial disfigurement.
£125 provides one child's cleft operation
Our fantastic medical volunteers have started fundraising to cover their costs for the Complex Mission.
