Water Barrels, Pilot Programme - Oromia

UK Events Industry charity, Meeting Needs, pledged £5,000 to support our Covid outreach project in rural communities. The project will help create awareness about the Covid-19 pandemic, in remote and rural areas of Ethiopia, as well as equipping families with effective and accessible PPE.

During our pilot programme Project Harar Programme Officer Abraham, distributed water barrels and soap to 30 families in a remote community with great success. This programme will provide families with an extra facility to wash their hands in their own home. This programme was targeted at families with children affected by cleft lip and palate, who were waiting to receive treatment. Read more about the full programme here.
