Stories from our Cleft Programme

You may have heard our BBC Radio 4 Appeal which was broadcast on the 17th May 2020. Our appeal was presented by Author and Journalist William Skidelsky, who has a son who was born with a cleft lip and palate. During the appeal William narrates Kufani's story, a five year old girl from a remote village in Ethiopia who travels to Addis Ababa with her mother to receive her first cleft surgery. This film shows more of Kufani's story and other families who had travelled to Addis Ababa via Project Harar's services.
