On the 19th September we had 19 amazing individuals take part in the London to Brighton cycle ride to raise vital funds for our work in Ethiopia, the team have smashed through their £10,000 — an amazing result!

We met 5 year old Negalem during our 2020 Complex Surgical Programme. She was unable to receive treatment in Ethiopia, but over the course of 18 months we were able to arrange specialist treatment overseas as a result of international collaboration

Every cleft surgery around the world involves a journey, each journey unique, emotional and perhaps with some hurdles to pass through. In countries like Ethiopia, where there are already barriers to some specialist healthcare the emotional and geographical journey for a cleft surgery can be especially challenging. Please consider supporting smile journey and providing access to life changing surgery for a child with a cleft lip or palate.
